At Marvel Retrievers, we take pride in raising healthy, well-socialized Labrador Retrievers with excellent temperaments and structure. Please review our policies carefully — they’re designed to protect both our puppies and their future families.
Waitlist & Deposit Process
• Waitlist Deposit: A $100 waitlist deposit is required to reserve a spot for an upcoming litter. This deposit is non-refundable, but it can be transferred to a future litter if needed.
• Breeder’s Rights: We reserve the right to first pick of every litter and to refuse a sale at any point if we feel it’s not in the puppy’s best interest.
• Pick Order: Puppy picks are determined by the order deposits are received — first deposit gets first pick, second gets second pick, and so on.
• Choosing Your Puppy: Selections begin around 3–4 weeks of age, once eyes are open and personalities start to show.
• Holding Deposit: A $500 non-refundable holding deposit is required by the end of the first week after birth to secure your puppy. This deposit is only refundable if something were to happen to your puppy while in our care.
• Final Payment: The remaining balance is due at pickup or 24 hours prior.
• Accepted Payments: Cash, Check, Venmo, Cashapp, Applepay.
What’s Included With Your Puppy
Every Marvel Retriever puppy goes home with:
• First round of vaccinations
• Age-appropriate deworming
• AKC Full registration paperwork
• Copy of litter pedigree
• Puppy packet with toys, treats, and a small bag of food.
Lifetime Commitment
We ask every buyer to provide lifelong love, proper shelter, regular veterinary care, and daily enrichment.
If at any point you can no longer keep your dog:
• Please contact us first for approval to rehome.
• If you’re unable to rehome responsibly, the dog must be returned to us so we can ensure they find a safe, appropriate home.
Health Guarantee & Veterinary Care
• We strongly recommend your puppy visit a licensed veterinarian within 72 hours of pickup for a wellness check.
• Once the puppy leaves our care, all veterinary expenses become the buyer’s responsibility.
• Each puppy leaves us with a clean bill of health.
24-Month Genetic Health Guarantee
Your puppy is guaranteed for 24 months against the following genetic conditions:
EIC, CNM, PRA, SD1, SD2, and HNPK.
This guarantee does not cover:
poisoning, parasites, reproductive issues, accidents, lack of training, behavioral problems, viral illnesses, ACL/CCL tears, hip or elbow dysplasia, or cancer.
If a covered congenital defect arises within the 24-month period:
• Veterinary records must be submitted within 7 days of diagnosis.
• The breeder may require a second opinion from their veterinarian.
• If confirmed, the buyer will receive a replacement puppy from a future litter once the affected dog is returned or proof of humane euthanasia is provided.
• This guarantee is non-transferable and replacement only — no refunds are given.
Important Health & Development Notes
• Avoid high-traffic animal areas (parks, rest stops, pet stores) until your puppy is fully vaccinated.
• Keep your puppy off the floor at vet clinics to reduce exposure risk.
• Avoid strenuous or high-impact exercise until at least 18 months of age to protect developing joints.
• We recommend waiting until 2 years old (fully mature) before spaying or neutering to support healthy growth and joint development.
Pickup & Boarding
• Puppies are ready to go home at 8 weeks of age.
• We do not allow home visits for the safety of our dogs and family. However, we provide daily updates through photos and videos so you can stay connected.
• If you can’t pick up your puppy on the scheduled date, please contact us as soon as possible.
• A $10 per day boarding fee will apply past the agreed-upon pickup date.
Additional Policies
•We do NOT allow our offspring to bred to Dilutes OR to any other breed besides the Standard Colored Labrador Retriever.
• We do not offer stud services or negotiate prices.
• Communication is handled through email or Facebook Messenger for serious, ready buyers only.
